This a painting of an open field in Bluff, San Juan County, Utah, USA in the Fall of the year. The area of Bluff is a bit of an oasis in the barren but beautiful area of the United States known as the Four Corners. Bluff was settled by Mormon Pioneers in the 1800's who risked their lives getting to this destination, having to traverse arid deserts, deep canyons, mountainous terrain and the always trecherous Colorado River to make a settlement here.
